Senior Pastor

We are seeking a dedicated, godly leader to serve as our Senior Pastor, to replace our current Senior Pastor who finishes at the end of 2024.

Our new Senior Pastor will provide prayerful spiritual leadership, oversee day-to-day church management, and develop discipleship programs to grow leaders and establish healthy ministry teams.

This role requires a committed, Godly leader who can inspire others, communicate the church’s vision, and work collaboratively with the Leadership Community and Church.

 

Key Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

• Deliver sound biblical teaching and lead prayer and spiritual development programs.
• Provide pastoral care and counselling to the congregation.

Operational Oversight

• Manage the church’s day-to-day operations and implement strategies in partnership with the Leadership Community.
• Ensure compliance with WHS Policies and oversee child safety and mandatory reporting requirements.

Discipleship and Leadership Development

• Commit to developing leaders and discipleship within the church.
• Supervise and provide development for church staff, conducting annual reviews.

Community and Outreach

• Represent RPCC at public events and in the community.
• Lead the church’s outreach programs and mission initiatives locally and overseas.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Leadership Community, providing feedback and fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Collaborate with other pastors in Burnie and the surrounding community.

Ceremonial Duties

• Conduct baptisms, weddings, funerals, and special services for the congregation and community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate experience in a senior pastoral role within a church.
• Must become a member of RPCC Association Inc. and comply with the RPCC Leadership Community Covenant.
• Provide a National Police Check and have a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Card.
• Hold a license to conduct weddings and a valid driver’s license.
